During a 12-month on-site test for high-speed winding applications involving lithium-ion battery separators, high-end optical films and electronic copper foil (with an average winding speed of 100–120 m/min, with a load of 8–15 kg per roll), plastic abs core tubes demonstrated outstanding performance: not only did it provide a clean winding environment free from particulate contamination, but it also reduced winding eccentricity by 25–30 per cent, thereby significantly improving the winding yield by 40 per cent, perfectly meeting the stringent requirements of high-end manufacturing.

Drawing on over a decade of expertise in extrusion moulding technology and experience in end-to-end production line validation, our ABS core tubes have established a proprietary technical system that is fully tailored to the requirements of high-end roll materials. Rather than adopting the standard extrusion solutions commonly used in the industry, we have independently optimised a high-precision co-rotating parallel twin-screw extrusion process to address the challenges posed by high-precision applications such as lithium-ion battery separators, aluminium foil, optical films, we have independently optimised a high-precision co-rotating parallel twin-screw extrusion process. Through customised screw thread combinations, precise segmented temperature control and dynamic regulation of melt pressure, we achieve uniform plastification of the ABS raw material, thereby eliminating common issues such as bubbles, delamination and uneven wall thickness at the source. Building on this, we have developed complementary in-line concentricity calibration technology and a gradient-style low-temperature setting process, strictly controlling the roundness deviation of finished products to within 0.1 mm, with axial straightness far exceeding general industry standards. At the same time, through low-internal-stress molecular arrangement optimisation technology, the tubing remains free from cracking or deformation even during long-term high-speed operation, fully meeting the precision requirements for the winding and unwinding of high-end roll materials.


From the receipt of raw materials to the dispatch of finished products, we have established a standardised production process with closed-loop control across the entire supply chain. Each stage corresponds to clear verification criteria, ensuring that every ABS core tube undergoes professional inspection at the production line level. Production commences with the pre-treatment of raw materials. All incoming ABS resin undergoes a melt flow index test upon arrival; once approved, it is precisely blended according to customised formulations and transferred to a constant-temperature drying chamber at 80°C, where it is left to stand for two hours to thoroughly remove moisture, thereby eliminating the risk of internal stress in the tubing caused by moisture at source; The raw material is then fed into a twin-screw extruder for closed-loop plastification. The extruded pipe parison is directly fed into a negative-pressure vacuum moulding sleeve, where it is slowly cooled and set using a three-stage water-cooling process to prevent deformation caused by rapid cooling. The entire production line is equipped with laser thickness gauges and coaxiality sensors for real-time dynamic monitoring; non-conforming products are automatically marked and rejected. Following high-precision, chip-free cutting, end chamfering and cleaning and dust removal processes, all finished products undergo a comprehensive inspection covering appearance, dimensions and pressure resistance. Only after confirmation of compliance are they dust-proof packaged and stored in the warehouse, ensuring full traceability of production data and zero-defect delivery throughout the entire process.

We are currently able to supply a steady supply of ABS plastic core tubes with internal diameters of 152 mm and 153 mm. The wall thickness can be customised to any value between 4 and 15 mm, and the length can be cut to any size to suit your specific requirements.
