Product Description

Hongkai Plastic Technology’s China 4-inch 101mm ID PE core tube Constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), these cores offer exceptional strength and rigidity. They effectively withstand pressure and friction during the winding process, ensuring the core maintains its shape. This keeps the film and tape neatly wound, significantly boosting product utilization rates. With an inner diameter precisely controlled at 4 inches, they are compatible with various winding equipment, offering easy installation and quick production deployment. Their smooth, clean surface minimizes adhesion with film and tape, preventing defects like scratches or wrinkles during winding to safeguard product quality.

Whether for precision films like optical films or lithium battery separators, or high-performance specialty tapes, this PE core tube delivers stable and reliable winding support. It empowers businesses to enhance production efficiency, making it an indispensable premium partner for the winding process of films and specialty tapes.

Usage Instructions and Precautions for product Usage Method

Installation Preparation and Equipment Compatibility: The 4-inch ID must precisely match the shaft diameter of the winding equipment to prevent pipe vibration or deformation during winding caused by dimensional deviations. Pipe Inspection: Before installation, inspect the pipe surface for smoothness, absence of scratches or dents, and ensure no contaminants are adhered (PE pipes are prone to static dust attraction; clean before use).

Environmental Requirements: Avoid direct installation in high-temperature environments (e.g., direct sunlight) or low-temperature conditions (below -5°C) to prevent thermal expansion/contraction affecting seal integrity.

Connection Method: Heat Fusion Butt Welding (for pipe diameters ≥90mm): Use a dedicated heat fusion machine to heat the pipe ends to a molten state (heating plate temperature controlled at 210-225°C). Immediately remove the heating plate, apply pressure to join the pipe ends, and maintain pressure until cooled and solidified. Ensure misalignment ≤ 10% of wall thickness and end gap ≤ 0.3mm (for pipe diameters ≤ 225mm).

Electrofusion Connection (for dissimilar pipes or fittings): Insert the electrofusion sleeve onto the pipe end. Apply electrical current to heat the embedded resistance wire, fusing the pipe material. After cooling, inspect the joint for flatness, ensuring no protrusions or depressions.

Socket Flexible Connection: Weld a reinforced socket onto one pipe end. Insert the pipe fitting with a rubber seal ring to achieve compression. Suitable for applications requiring frequent disassembly (e.g., temporary winding equipment).

Winding Operation Film/Tape Securing: Adhere the film or tape end to the pipe surface, then slowly start the winding equipment while maintaining uniform tension.

Multi-Layer Winding: Ensure each film layer overlaps smoothly without wrinkles or folds to prevent pipe deformation under pressure. Full-Roll Handling: After winding to design capacity, secure the outer layer with specialized clips or tape to prevent loosening.

Precautions for PE Core Tubing

First, temperature control: Operating environment: 4-inch 101mm ID PE core tube has a long-term service temperature range of -50°C to +110°C. However, during winding, avoid localized high temperatures (e.g., at heat fusion joints) contacting the film to prevent melting damage.

Storage conditions: Unused tubing should be stored in a dry, cool location away from heat sources and direct sunlight to prevent material aging.

Second, chemical corrosion resistance: If the film or tape contains strong acids or alkalis, test the pipe's corrosion resistance beforehand to prevent long-term exposure from causing pipe embrittlement.

Installation protection: When installing in environments with sharp objects, wrap the pipe exterior with protective layers (e.g., foam sleeves).
